A. B. de Villiers, the Captain of South Africa cricket team, hit the fastest-ever 150 runs in one-day internationals (ODIs). He achieved this feat in the league match against West Indies in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at Sydney, Australia. 

He took 64 deliveries to reach 150 runs and beat the previous record of Australian Shane Watson by 19 balls. He struck 162 not out from 66 balls. He also holds the world record for the fastest-ever ODI hundred in 31 balls against West Indies in Johannesburg (January 2015). In the same innings, he also set the world record for the fastest fifty in ODIs from 16 balls.
