Q1) Can you tell me something about SNAP examination ? 

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common written test for the admission to all the Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University. Written test is mandatory for admission into any Post-Graduate programme offered by the constituent institute of Symbiosis International University.

Q4)When is it conducted ? Is it an online exam ? 

It is usually conducted in the month of December. This year, the entrance test is being conducted on December 18th, 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm. No, it is not an online exam. 

Q5)What is the last date for registering for SNAP? How much is the test registration fee? 

The last date for registering for SNAP exam is November 22nd, 2016. The registration fee is Rs 1500.

Yes, apart from registering for SNAP, you need to separately apply to B-school programs. The Registration fee for each Institute and for each programme is Rs. 1000/- For Institute registration and payment, please visit the particular Institute's website

Q10) What is the eligibility criteria for writing SNAP Entrance Test ? 

Graduate from any recognized / statutory University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). 

Q11) What is the criteria followed by the B-schools ( list mentioned under Q2 ) for shortlisting for the PI round? 

Candidates will be shortlisted for PI round based on their overall SNAP Percentile. Category-wise cut off will be published on the website of the respective institute. 

Q12) What is the criteria followed by the B-schools ( list mentioned under Q2 ) during the final selection stage? 

Merit list will be based on the following parameters:

Q13) Can you give me some suggestions on how to prepare for SNAP Entrance Test ? 

For the section on General English, students should focus on Idioms & Idiomatic expressions, and on parts of speech in Grammar. Apart from this, a good CAT preparation would suffice. 

For the section on Logical Reasoning, it would be advisable for students to revise concepts pertaining to Puzzles, Number and Letter Series, Verbal Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Strengthening & weakening arguments, and Non-Verbal Reasoning. 

For the section on Logical Reasoning, it would be advisable for students to revise concepts pertaining to Puzzles, Number and Letter Series, Verbal Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Strengthening & weakening arguments, and Non-Verbal Reasoning. 

One need to be thorough with all topics of Analytical puzzles, deductions and connectives. 

For the section on Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, a good preparation for CAT should be more than sufficient. 

For the section on General Awareness, it would be advisable for students to brush up concepts and facts pertaining to Definitions (Dendrochronology, Ekistics etc.), Economy, Acronyms, History, Sport, Science & Technology and Current Affairs.
