AILET 2017 Analysis & Verdict on Cut-Off!

This year AILET was conducted on May 7, 2017. AILET Paper has remained a tough exam as usual Students who have put in regular efforts are able to crack it.

English

There was not a single Question on RC. And significant part is coming from Vocab and Grammar. The questions on the Cloze tests were at par with ProTalent's tough study material. 
FIB: 11 Questions
Antonyms: 2 Questions
Word Meaning: 3 Questions
Para Jumble : 3 Questions.
Idioms & Phrases : 3 Questions
Odd one out: 3 Questions
 A score of 27-30 can be considered a reasonably good score for this section.

General Knowledge


For Law aspirants GK is a must and having a broader knowledge base helps to crack exam like AILET. There were 22 questions on Current Affairs. Important topics like Nobel Prize in Economics, GSAT 18, ROSS Robot, Laxmi - Robot of by Indian Bank, Miss International, HDI, International Happiness Day, Special Olympics medals by India etc. Reasonably, easy section and in this cut-off should be 27-29 marks.
Legal Aptitude
AILET exam is known for Legal Knowledge. Topics like John Doe ( Ashok Kumar - Indian context), Public Trust Doctrine must not have been difficult of ProTalent students. There were in all 19 questions on Legal Knowledge and Legal Reasoning questions were little lengthy. In legal knowledge, the questions were about Rivers as living person, New Maternity Bills, Terms of CVC, FB Account related questions etc. The students who keep them abreast with the latest happening around them on a regular basis will not have any problem. The section was time consuming and a good score of 26-27 should be good!
Reasoning
Quiet regular section with a few new type- surprise questions. In the Analytical Reasoning part of the section, topics such as Arrangement, Blood Relations, Directions, etc., dominated the section. The Logical Reasoning part saw questions on Odd One Out, Series, two sets on arrangements - one on team formation and other one on seating arrangement. There were also 5 short passages and questions that were based on the. There were the argument type questions as well. The surprise element was questions based on Decision Making and Input based questions. A score of 25-26 would be a good score.

Mathematics

Reasonably easy section. Overall 6-7 marks should be good out this.

Verdict for Cut-off
ProTalent predicts the cutoffs to hover around 93-95 this year.
